I chased the not-seen-in-a-few-days Tufted duck to the upper Santa Ana River today, in a short outing before getting ready for hosting guests at our place this afternoon.  I learned that this river trail goes many miles along to river all the way to the beach!

No Tufted duck found, but enjoyed a good walk, will definitely return.  Need to find better parking.  Best birds today were two Wilson’s snipe tucked in in the middle of the river.
