As Kay and I trek across America today we spent a hot and futile morning looking for the Eurasian Tree Sparrow. It has been being seen at the Horseshoe Lake County Park in western Illinois, but we spent far too much of the morning fighting with google-maps to even access the park, and by the time we figured it out we were fighting a very hot late summer day. No luck but it leaves a goal for tomorrow morning. Hoping to find it at a feeder first thing, if not back to the county park with a scouting trip behind us. Overall not a lot of birding today.
